In our Christian tradition we have a sacred calendar—a way of marking time through the course of the year by telling the story of Jesus Christ. There’s a secular calendar to coordinate our lives within a secular age, and there’s a sacred calendar to form our lives through the gospel story.
We let the rhythms and rest of the Liturgical Church Calendar guide our seasons at Life Abundant, beginning with Advent and weaving a thread throughout the rest of the year.
We mark time throughout the year by re-telling the story of Jesus Christ. Our Christian calendar begins in Advent and ends at Pentecost. It’s a six month journey with Jesus. After Pentecost we rest into Ordinary Time, a season of rest and recuperation. The days are longer and the services are shorter.
You can find the scriptures for our Sunday services in the calendar, as well as daily readings for further meditation.
