In our Christian tradition we have a sacred calendar—a way of marking time through the course of the year by telling the story of Jesus Christ. There’s a secular calendar to coordinate our lives within a secular age, and there’s a sacred calendar to form our lives through the gospel story.
We let the rhythms and rest of the Liturgical Church Calendar guide our seasons at Life Abundant, beginning with Advent and weaving a thread throughout the rest of the year.
During Lent we longingly looked towards Easter with great expectation. Now we revel in the resurrection for 50 days between Easter and Pentecost. God is alive and the grave is empty. Let’s celebrate this truth and learn to live in this reality.
You can find the scriptures for our Sunday services in the calendar, as well as daily readings for further meditation.
