In our Christian tradition we have a sacred calendar—a way of marking time through the course of the year by telling the story of Jesus Christ. There’s a secular calendar to coordinate our lives within a secular age, and there’s a sacred calendar to form our lives through the gospel story.
We let the rhythms and rest of the Liturgical Church Calendar guide our seasons at Life Abundant, beginning with Advent and weaving a thread throughout the rest of the year.
We mark time throughout the year by re-telling the story of Jesus Christ. Our new year according to the Christian calendar begins here in Advent, the four-week season of waiting and longing that precedes Christmas. As the rest of the world hustles and bustles, we intentionally slow down to carefully contemplate that God put on flesh and became one of us.
You can find the scriptures for our Sunday services in the calendar, as well as daily readings for further meditation.
